Abstract
The Special Jurisdiction for Peace (SJP) is the main component of the Integral System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition (SIVJRNR) established in the Final Peace Agreement. The JEP responds to a model of restorative justice that privileges truth and reparation over punishment, understood in its traditional sense of retribution. It was created by the Peace Agreement between the National Government and the FARC-EP. The JEP has the function of administering transitional justice and hearing crimes committed in the context of the armed conflict that would have been committed before December 1, 2016. The purpose of this research is to determine transitional justice in the framework of the functions of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace. The research problem is to know how the principles of transitional justice are applied in the Special Jurisdiction for Peace in Colombia. The previous legal situation arises from the concern generated by the analysis of the mechanism of transitional justice in the framework of the functions exercised by the Special Jurisdiction for Peace in Colombia. Therefore, this research is oriented under a mixed investigative process, which is the one that possesses, a decidedly humanist foundation to understand the social reality based on the appreciations of the actors within the armed conflict and the figures thrown during it
