In the present project of degree that is presented next, will be exposed some relevant aspects that must be taken into account for the design of a diagnostic tool, applied to diverse companies of the metal-mechanical sector of the city of Barranquilla.. The research is in the design of an evaluation tool in the actors and / or in the supply chain, in which it is applied to a small sample of the companies of the metal-mechanical sector, in order to know the current state of their Productive processes of each of the companies to be evaluated, they are made a previous monitoring and therefore will be possible preventive and corrective actions within the framework of the supply chain of each company. Basically the data of the problematic that appear in the companies of the metal-mechanic sector in which the processes that are realized in the chain of supply of the same that contemplate the theoretical framework and the state of the art on which the development of this one is based Tool, Concepts and definitions relevant to achieve a better understanding of the proposal. The conceptual development and modeling of each of the supply chain prices in the metal-mechanic sector is described below. Finally, the collection of information for the subsequent evaluation of the logistic processes of the companies to which the previous study was carried out, with their respective analysis and improvements proposed by the principal investigator.

The present work of degree has as aim the design of a Systems of Management in Safety and Health in the Work for the company Tectronica S.A.S; Under the terms of reference of Decree 1072/2015, more specifically Book 2, Part 2, Title 4, chapter 6, the guidelines of the International Standard OHSAS 18001 - 2007 will also be taken into account. An initial assessment or diagnosis of the current health and safety conditions in the organization, with the objective of prioritizing activities and establishing actions and commitments by management and all the organization's personnel. The results of the investigation allowed the recognition and development of the area of safety and health at work in the company, as well as the acceptance regarding labor accidents and occupational diseases, proving that the proposal for this theme to be developed in the line Management research, more precisely in the area of occupational safety and health

The improvement of the public service associated with taxi type vehicles is obtained from the decrease of response times in each requested service and the maximum coverage of the fleet of taxis in the city. Possessing an improvement in these two aspects contributes to the optimization of the service, creating comfort, safety, positive perceptions from the clients, thus contributing in the development and the quality of public transport in the city. Therefore, this research evaluates the relocation system of taxi type vehicles in the city of Barranquilla, initially doing an assessment on the perception of the citizens regarding the taxi service that offers the city, followed by the characterization of the current relocation system of the company which is taken as an object of study explaining, in detail, the manner in which the company executes its procedures based on policies defined by the company. Subsequently, a mathematical model is created and developed in order to make the study of the system of relocation that involves several test scenarios that will be key to the analysis of the results that identify the most suitable distribution of vehicles, depending on the behavior of customers in particular events in the city. In addition, the different solutions or strategies, that are proposed, promotes the continuous improvement of the relocation and assignment system for type taxi vehicles, contributing to maximize the coverage of vehicles in the city and the decline of response times. This paper presents an alternative to the location of distribution centres considering a multi-objective model minimising insecurity cost and road access for a case study in the City of Barranquilla (Colombia). For the solution of the model, 15 different scenarios of variation of the importance of the proposed objectives are considered. As a basis for the design of the modelling, the characterisation and classification of the variables with the highest incidence in the location of distribution centres or warehouses are posed. It is possible to demonstrate the impact of the evaluation and analysis of the mathematical model for the location of this type of facility.

Logistical improvement, based on the reduction of costs or increase of the profits of the solid waste collection process from both the direct and inverse flow, contributes to optimize the resources immersed in this. For this reason, the present work studies the process of home collection for the city of Barranquilla, starting with the demographic characterization of the same from the Integral Solid Waste Management Plan related to the direct flow of the current process, making a diagnosis from the information shared by the Mayor of Barranquilla and the company in charge of the process; later, two scenarios are generated where it is proposed to separate the solid waste from the source, in order to generate utilities from the recycling or reuse of these, also varying the frequency of collection in the second scenario. As a result, improvement is achieved in the scenarios generated, the second being better because it represents 26% less in the annual costs of the process. In addition, improvement strategies are proposed due to the results obtained from the model generated for evaluation of the solid waste collection process, which is flexible and allows to evaluate the three scenarios.

A Higher Education Institution (HEI) has the responsibility to track the processes through indicators that guarantee the measurement of the results in almost real time. This article presents the design of a management and quality model of the processes in a university, through the integration of a Balance Scorecard (BSC) and the implementation of an information system. For which it was required: a review of existing tracing and monitoring systems in the academic sector, definition of the requirements of the proposed technological, a diagnosis of the current measurement system of the HEI analyzed, identify measurement indicators and develop a technological tool. The designed model presents a precise and clear methodological guide that can be replicated in any HEI to monitor its processes.
