One of the keys to the development of harmonic relationships between human beings in society,
is the management of emotional intelligence. In the socio-cultural reality in which the country is
located, post-conflict and in the particular realities of each community, each school, each family,
each child, adolescent or youth, its study is necessary. This is reflected in the I.E. Francisco José
de Caldas; where, after overcoming the external conflicts, a series of internal conflicts between
students were generated, with violent manifestations, verbal and physical aggressions and cyber
bullying. This proposal proposes the study of emotional intelligence based on the Goleman
Model in which four states are geared, namely: self-awareness, self-management, social
awareness and relationship management, as strategies aimed at tissue reconstruction social and
the promotion of a harmonious coexistence in 6th grade students of said institution. The modality
of the research will be correlational, with a quantitative approach, a sequence of cross-sectional
study in a finite population of 6th grade students of the I.E. Francisco José de Caldas de Soledad
(Atlantic). As techniques and instruments will be used, among others, tests to estimate emotional
intelligence and school life, teacher interviews, participant observation, and documentary review.
It is expected that, after the application of the questionnaires, there will be a characterization of
the problem, and recommendations will be generated to significantly improve the ability of
school coexistence and ways of resolving conflicts. To this end, there is an ideal human resource,
an optimal work space for the application of the proposal, the support of sixth grade students,
teachers, managers and parents and methodological instruments for the execution of the study.
