This study aims to establish the effectiveness of an educational program through audio visual aids resources in English language to second graders in Dolores María Ucrós School located in Soledad, Atlántico. It is framed within the monitor and innatism theories, communicative competences, meaningful and multimedia learning. The methodological design is framed in an empiricist epistemology through a positivist paradigm. In addition, this work is based on a
quantitative research that involves a quasi-experimental design. On the other hand, the sample was gotten by a non-probabilistic intentional process. The population was formed by 69 students who belong to a control group and 33 of them were the experimental one. The technique used was the survey, and the questionnaire was the tool chosen by the researchers to collect the data. The results shows meaningful differences in the language learning process in the experimental group, after an educational program through audio visual aids resources intervention. Finally, it is confirmed that audio visual aids resources has a positive effect in English language learning. This resources becomes an enriching tool in order to accomplish a great environment to a foreign language learning, in this case, English language.
