This project proposes the elaboration of a piping system composed of four straight sections, which can be selected individually in order to study the pressure losses of the fluid passing through it, for didactic use in the Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics laboratory of the Universidad de la Costa. Analysis and verification of the general energy equation and the variables that depend directly on this system, roughness of the surface of the inner wall of the pipe, volumetric flow, the cross-sectional area through which the flow passes (internal diameter), length and properties of the fluid. The calculation of friction and accessory losses are compared with the pressure drop obtained experimentally during the laboratory tests and analyzed according to statistical tests of Pearson's Coefficient. As a result, a very strong positive correlation, and a determination coefficient of 98.2% were obtained. Additionally, the behavior of the fluid in pipes with the same nominal diameter varying the material and the behavior in pipes of the same material varying the diameter are analyzed.
