In this document a grade proposal is presented in order to modify the diagram of Moody implementing as a new use to bottles bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in order to transform the material into raw material by converting it by means of necessary processes into drinking water pipes by adding its use to the domestic distribution networks. PET plastic containers are widely used in the areas of Barranquilla being scattered in the streets, dumps and gutters, creating contaminated environments. This material has similar characteristics Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the use of such material in a recycled form is therefore desired while reducing the negative environmental impact by providing a new use as a hydraulic pipe in intrahousehold networks, being a positive approach for engineering, since it would be implementing new ways of obtaining construction materials, analysing the different factors that are generated within them, such as friction losses under different flow regimes, leading to the development of the Moody Diagram for this type of material according to the behavior presented by the fluid. Within the observations of the material transformed into a pipe, the water hammer calculation is carried out, which consists of showing the behavior of said pipe under pressure.

Water, known as blue gold, is one of the most important natural resources in the world, since on the planet only 3% of water is fresh and of this only 1% is accessible for human consumption. This is why countries establish public policies and control mechanisms to generate awareness and achieve that more and more contribute to saving and efficient use of the resource and in turn in the reduction of water stress. Colombia, in spite of being a country without water scarcity, promotes and establishes policies of control and efficiency in the management and use of water; this is why in 2014 resolution CRA 688 is issued as a guideline for a new tariff scheme, where a standard of efficiency is established for the management of water losses (commercial and technical). In 2017, Colombia loses 43.6% of the water it produces and with the new tariff framework, the programs for recovery of losses implemented by the ESP are described and the steps to be followed by a country that wishes to manage savings and efficient use of the resource are concluded.

This paper presents the results of a study about the effects of unbalanced voltages on the energy performance of three-phase induction motors. The principal contribution of this paper is that presents a detailed analysis of the influence of positive and negative sequence voltage components and the angle between them on several characteristics such as: line currents, losses, efficiency and power factor under different voltage unbalanced conditions. A three-phase induction motor of 3 HP was used as a case study. The results of the investigation show that the positive sequence voltage must be considered together with the voltage unbalance factor (VUF) or percent voltage unbalance (PVU) index to evaluate the performance of the induction motor. It is also shown that the behavior of the motor load influences on the positive sequence parameters next to the voltage, while in the case of negative sequence only influences the negative sequence voltage.
