Ciudad del futuro - paisaje deseado

Abstract

Los momentos de la historia en los que la relación futuro-esperanza adquirió una mayor relevancia coincidieron con grandes cambios tecnológicos. Así se lo observa a partir del siglo XV con la aparición de las ciudades ideales y la Utopía, luego con la Revolución Industrial y las propuestas de los socialistas utópicos y ya en el siglo XX, el movimiento moderno en arquitectura y urbanismo, tal vez la última gran utopía de la humanidad, para culminar en la última etapa de este movimiento, a la sombra de la tecnología espacial. La mirada a la actualidad se desarrolla a partir de las reflexiones de Pierre Levy y Michel Serres, anunciando una ciudad futura en el contexto del conocimiento y la comunicación.

The moments in history in which the future-hope relationship became more relevant coincided with great technological changes. This is how it is observed from the XV century with the appearance of the ideal cities and the Utopia, then with the Industrial Revolution and the proposals of the utopian socialists and already in the XX century, the modern movement in architecture and urbanism, perhaps the humanity’s last great utopia, to culminate in the last stage of this movement, in the shadow of space technology. The look at the present time is developed from the reflections of Pierre Levy and Michel Serres, announcing a future city in the context of knowledge and communication.

Os momentos da história em que a relação esperança-futuro se tornou mais relevante coincidiram com grandes mudanças tecnológicas. É assim que se observa a partir do século XV com o surgimento das cidades ideais e da utopia, depois com a Revolução Industrial e as propostas dos socialistas utópicos e, já no século XX, o movimento moderno da arquitetura e do urbanismo, talvez o a última grande utopia da humanidade, a culminar no último estágio deste movimento, à sombra da tecnologia espacial. O olhar atual é desenvolvido a partir das reflexões de Pierre Levy e Michel Serres, anunciando uma cidade futura no contexto do conhecimento e da comunicação.
