Importancia de la educación para el trabajo en el sector servicio (Hoteles) en la ciudad de Barranquilla, periodo 2007 – 2009 - I 

Abstract

This descriptive research was realized within the period 2007-2009, Barranquilla's Municipality, Atlántico Department delimited among the locality North historical Center (Prado, Viejo Prado, Americas, Porvenir), where a lot of hotel companies of the service sector are taken root. Its general aim based on knowing the importance of the education for the work and the human development inside the modern company. The work delimited to the Hotel sector, consequently, it considered that concentrates the competitions there, too from its different labour instances. For this work observation and interviews to Human Resources managers were used through an elaborated form with 10 questions, and to workers with three questions. Variable applied were: education for the work, human development, service sector, and Barranquilla's hotel companies, period 2007-2009. The work justified itself because it announced the importance of the education for the work and the human development for a hotel company and its workers, based on labour competitions, axis of the managerial success and good way to get to the competitiveness. Abraham Maslow, Gary Backerl´s theories and limits of the Decree 2888/07 Of the National Education Department were applied. The results found were that the hotel companies visited coincided with that the education for the work and the human development of its workers is priority. Its concluded, then, that any company, hotel manager or not, must offer attention to their training plans they realize annually as management of any Human Resources Department.

Esta investigación de tipo descriptiva se realizó dentro del período 2007-2009, Municipio de Barranquilla, Departamento del Atlántico, delimitada entre la localidad Norte Centro histórico (Prado, Viejo Prado, Américas, Porvenir), donde están radicadas empresas hoteleras sector Servicio. Su objetivo general consistió en conocer la importancia de la educación para el trabajo y el desarrollo humano dentro de la empresa moderna. El trabajo se delimitó al sector Hoteles, por cuanto se considera que allí se concentra también las competencias desde sus diferentes instancias laborales. Para este trabajo se empleó observación y entrevista a gerentes de Recursos Humanos, a través de formulario elaborado con 10 preguntas, y a trabajadores con tres preguntas. Las Variable aplicadas fueron: educación para el trabajo, desarrollo humano, sector servicio, y empresas hoteleras de Barranquilla, período 2007-2009. El trabajo se justificó porque dio a conocer la importancia que tiene la educación para el trabajo y el desarrollo humano para la empresa hotelera y sus trabajadores, basada en competencias laborales, eje del éxito empresarial y buen camino para llegar a la competitividad. Se aplicaron teorías de Abraham Maslow, Gary Backerl, y lineamientos del Decreto 2888/07 del Ministerio de Educación Nacional. Los resultados encontrados fueron que las empresas hoteleras visitadas coincidieron en que la educación para el trabajo y el desarrollo humano de sus trabajadores es prioritario. Se concluyó, entonces, que toda empresa, hotelera o no, debe brindarle atención a sus planes de capacitación que anualmente realizan como gestión de todo departamento de Recursos Humanos.
