The article exposes a strategic prospective analysis that allows to summarize the number of explanatory variables for the construction of mathematical knowledge. The procedural systematization is organized in phases: Identification of variables; description of the relationships between variables; identification of key variables through cross-impact; Reflective prospective (creation of futuribles). Four big gaps are inferred: low academic performance in the area; weak formative and analytical base; development of capacities for the generation of knowledge; the student's approach is not suitable for mathematics. Strategic options are channeled as a basis for the definition of the bet scenario.
