This research revolves around the young offender and the responsibility that it assists in the commission of the offense, making a systematic analysis of the situation and the actors involved in issues such as the family, the state and society, which, under the principle of shared responsibility should contribute to the integral development of children and adolescents. This is a legal research descriptive analytic cutting using the deductive method, starting from a global vision, in order to reach conclusions and assumptions of particular character as are the background and current situation of the adversarial criminal justice system to teenagers Barranquilla.
To do a comprehensive review and systematization of various reports, studies and statistics is done giving an overall view about the actual operation of the juvenile justice system, which hinder the achievement of its aims, and intends to boost reforms consistent with the achievement of these objectives.
In the course of this study it was observed that the issue of criminal responsibility of adolescents has certain shortcomings and the need to make adjustments to the judicial apparatus beginning with the officials responsible for administering justice, to ensure due process is evident in the framework of an adversarial system, differential with respect to the adult system.
