The approach of this research are outlined in the evaluation study concerning the impact
of the inclusion of virtual courses in classroom academic programs at the Faculty of Economics
of the CUC, from two dimensions: Academic Processes and Social Interaction Processes;
covering topics such as diagnosis of their impact on the academic processes and academic
performance, also the interaction that occurs between teacher-student, through the competence of
management tools implied within online courses that have been implemented in the CUC. The
research was aligned within the positivist paradigm, framed in quantitative methodology and
descriptive type, to collect data, using the virtual sample survey; and based on the studies
interpret the results of the sample investigated in virtual courses. The target population of the
study is represented by the students in virtual courses at the Faculty of Economics, and their
teachers. Conclusions based on the statistics obtained show that: students get their academic
performance improved with the aid of Virtual Courses, students consider that the tools of social
interaction are appropriate, effective and efficient for the learning process, just as consider that
the teacher-student communication is of excellent quality.
