In a study conducted at the District Educational Institution Jesus Maestro Fe y
Alegría on students' difficulties facing the poor reading comprehension in the
different areas of knowledge, which was observed in how to respond in different
activities planned, the little analysis and opinion critical to them, why the research
team intends to implement Instructional Strategies to improve reading
comprehension in ninth-grade students in I.E.D. "Jesus Maestro Fe y Alegría" of
Barranquilla, posing as objective the development of teaching strategies contribute
to improving reading comprehension and specific students and analyze the levels
of reading comprehension than the students of ninth graders who are part of the
school, identify the pedagogical strategies used by teachers to build reading
comprehension in students structure a proposal that will lead to teachers through
their teaching practice to improve reading comprehension in students of the school,
check whether the implementation of the proposal allows students to improve skills
in analysis, synthesis, interpretation and organization of information why different
contexts defined generating pedagogical strategies that help contribute issues
raised and that will strengthen communication and language skills to generate
significant learning that takes into account the needs and interests of key
stakeholders such as students.
The research is qualitative ethnographic methodology and some results of the
educational action research, framed within a critical social paradigm, research
belongs to the line of inquiry teaching strategies.
In analyzing the results, it was concluded that methodological strategies focused
on student interests and needs allow a change of attitude that promotes the
development of the reading process and helps to improve their cultural level and
quality of life.
