ADR’S caso colombiano

Abstract

Este trabajo investiga la relación entre el desempeño de los ADR’s colombianos en Estados Unidos y las acciones de sus emisores en Colombia, desde la fecha de inscripción hasta el 31de agosto de 2010. En consecuencia con los resultados reportados, el estudio no encuentra una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el comportamiento de los títulos en el mercado local y los American Depositary Receipts (ADR). Esto sugiere que el desempeño de ambos títulos es independiente.

This work investigates the relation between the performance of the Colombian ADR’s, in the United States and the shares of its emitters in Colombia, from the date of inscription to 31de August of 2010. Consequently with the reported results, the study does not find a statistically significant relation between the behavior of the shares in the local market and American Depositary Receipts (ADR). This suggests the performance of both titles is independent.
