Adaptaciones curriculares para el ingreso, permanencia y graduación de estudiantes con discapacidad: una experiencia desde la educación superior.

Cada día se convierte en un imperativo, el desarrollo e implementación de estrategias de educación inclusiva que permitan el acceso, permanencia y graduación de las per-sonas con discapacidad en la educación superior, para que así, estos profesionales puedan ser partícipes de la cons-trucción y transformación de la sociedad. El objetivo de este estudio cuantitativo descriptivo, fue indagar acerca de los diferentes tipos de adaptaciones curriculares que se requie-ren para el ingreso, permanencia y graduación de personas con discapacidad sensorial o física en la educación supe-rior, mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario dirigido a funcionarios de instituciones de educación superior (IES). Los principales resultados dan cuenta que algunas insti-tuciones conocen y utilizan mecanismos de flexibilización curricular, que permiten la implementación de estas adap-taciones, mientras que, otras instituciones, no cuentan con formación, ni información clara y específica acerca de esta temática. De igual forma, se evidenció la presencia de ba-rreras actitudinales, comunicativas y de accesibilidad, que impiden ajustar estos mecanismos a las necesidades educa-tivas de las personas con discapacidad dentro de las IES. Finalmente, se plantean una serie de recomendaciones para ejecutar un diseño curricular que favorezca el ingreso, permanencia y graduación de este colectivo en instituciones de educación superior a nivel regional y nacional By developing and implementing strategies focused on in-clusive education that have allowed not only admission, per-manence but also graduation of students with disabilities in higher education have become significant at the present time, in order to these students would take part in the con-struction and critical transformation of society. The main objective of this descriptive and quantitative study was to research on the different categories of adapted curriculum which are required for admissions, permanencies and grad-uation of students with as sensory as physical disability in higher education, in addition a questionnaire addressed to official higher education institutions (IES) was applied. The obtained results of this work have showed that several institutions have developed and used processes based on flexibility in curriculum that allowed the implementation of these adaptations, meanwhile several establishments lack of specialized training and information about this subject. On other hand, there exist as well attitudinal handicaps , communicative and accessibility that hinder to adapt edu-cational procedures to the needs of students with disabili-ties are also reflected within the IES. Finally, it is strongly recommend to implement a curriculum that promotes ad-missions, permanence and graduations of the mentioned students in institutions of higher education as local ranges as national
