Diseño y validación piloto de la Escala Multidimensional de Abuso Sexual Infantil para Docentes (EMASID)

Abstract

Los índices de Abuso Sexual Infantil (ASI), son alarmantes, según las estadísticas de Medicina Legal, Unidad de Atención Integral a la Víctima de Violencia Sexual (Caivas, 2015) y de Bienestar Familiar (2014), lo más preocupante es que el 80% de los casos ocurre al interior del hogar. Ante esta situación, en muchas ocasiones son los docentes quienes se constituyen en protectores de los menores de edad por la cercanía y el contacto con sus estudiantes, sin embargo, según la literatura revisada no disponen de los conocimientos suficientes ni de las técnicas de afrontamiento ante una situación de abuso. Por tal, el objetivo de esta investigación es diseñar la Escala Multidimensional de Abuso Sexual Infantil para Docentes, EMASID, en aras de identificar nivel de conocimientos básicos y actitudes de los docentes frente a situaciones de abuso sexual para facilitar su detección y prevención en el contexto educativo. El diseño metodológico de corte instrumental, se sometió la escala a validación por jueces la cual arrojó una consistencia según Alfa de Cronbach de 0.976. Se realizó una prueba piloto con la participación de 42 docentes, que arrojó índices de confiabilidad de 0.883 para la subescala de factores de riesgo, de 0.794 para la subescala de conocimientos básicos y de 0.802 para la subescala general de actitudes. Este estudio brinda un nuevo aporte en el campo de la evaluación y la medición de la identificación de los factores de riesgo, conocimientos y actitudes de los docentes frente al ASI.

The rates of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) are alarming, according to the statistics of Legal Medicine, Unit of Integral Attention to the Victim of Sexual Violence (Caivas, 2015) and Family Welfare (2014), the most worrying thing is that 80 % of cases occur inside the home. Faced with this situation, teachers are often the protectors of minors because of the proximity and contact with their students. However, according to the literature reviewed, they do not have sufficient knowledge or coping techniques A situation of abuse. Therefore, the objective of this research is to design the Multidimensional Scale of Child Sexual Abuse for Teachers, EMASID, in order to identify the level of basic knowledge and attitudes of teachers against situations of sexual abuse to facilitate their detection and prevention in the context educational. The methodological design of instrumental cut, the scale was subjected to validation by judges which yielded a consistency according to Cronbach's Alpha of 0.976. A pilot test was carried out with the participation of 42 teachers, which yielded reliability indexes of 0.883 for the subscale of risk factors, 0.794 for the subscale of basic knowledge and 0.802 for the general subscale of attitudes. This study provides a new contribution in the field of assessment and measurement of the identification of risk factors, knowledge and attitudes of teachers towards CSA.
