Coeficiente intelectual limite y promedio en relación con el desarrollo neuropsicológico de las funciones ejecutivas y la conducta adaptativa

Abstract

Determinar la correlacion entre el coeficiente intelectual limite y promedio, con respecto al desarrollo neuropsicologico de las Funciones Ejecutivas y la conducta adaptativa en ninos de 7 a 12 de la ciudad de Barranquilla. Metodologia: El enfoque de la presente investigacion es cuantitativo, diseno no experimental, alcance correlacional, de corte transversal o transeccional. La seleccion de la muestra se llevo a cabo de forma intencional no probabilistica, de acuerdo a la caracterizacion de los sujetos a estudiar, la poblacion objetivo fue de 60 estudiantes, se conformo un grupo de ninos con coeficiente intelectual limite y otro con coeficiente intelectual promedio que ayudara a contrastar los resultados de la investigacion. Resultados: Los datos fueron analizados mediante el programa estadistico SPSS V 20.0. Se realizo un analisis descriptivo, comparativo y de correlacion con pruebas no parametricas. Los resultados del WISC IV arrojaron puntajes con mayor diferencia entre los dos grupos en los indices de comprension verbal y memoria de trabajo, siendo estos con menor puntaje en los sujetos con CIL. Los resultados de las Funciones Ejecutivas muestran las diferencias de rendimiento entre los grupos de estudio, relacionado con el curso normal de adquisicion y con el estado de desarrollo de estas habilidades. Con relacion a la Conducta Adaptativa existen diferencias en entre los grupos de estudio, los sujetos con un coeficiente intelectual promedio tienen un adecuado repertorio de habilidades para adaptarse a las demandas de vivir independientemente cada dia.

To determine the correlation between the limit and average IQ, with respect to the neuropsychological development of the Executive Functions and the adaptive behavior in children from 7 to 12 of the city of Barranquilla. Methodology: The focus of the present research is quantitative, non-experimental design, correlational, cross-sectional or transectional in scope. The selection of the sample was carried out intentionally non-probabilistic, according to the characterization of the subjects to be studied, the target population was 60 students, a group of children was formed with limit IQ and another with an average IQ Which will help to contrast the results of the research. Results: Data were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS V 20.0. A descriptive, comparative and correlation analysis was performed with non-parametric tests. The results of the WISC IV showed scores with greater difference between the two groups in the indices of verbal comprehension and working memory, being these with lower score in the subjects with CIL. The results of the Executive Functions show the differences in performance between the study groups, related to the normal course of acquisition and the state of development of these skills. Regarding Adaptive Behavior there are differences in study groups, subjects with an average IQ have an adequate repertoire of skills to adapt to the demands of living independently each day.
