Diseño y Layout de la distribución de almacenaje para el centro de distribución de decorceramicas S.A.S en Barranquilla (Producto: Porcelanato y Cerámica)

Abstract

Our Project is based on the research of the best way to perform a design and layout applied to the warehouse of Decorceramica located on Barranquilla City and which is beginning with their activities. The Challenge is to overcome the startup of this distribution centre. For this, we have to consider that a empty warehouse initialy has to be supplied the sooner possible to begin to be operative, what means that is necessary to be prepared in how the merchandise will be accommodated, in a way the production from this CEDI to be the most productive possible, not just the packaging but in the resources that will be invested to achieve the objectives, being the most important to achieve a optimal costumer service to our internal and external costumers, empathizing on the final users.

This project was framed in the type "projective research", founded to an understandable level with a design of mix source (documental and field). There was implemented a series of techniques and instruments of data recollection, specifically the analysis of documental sources, direct observation, and unstructured interviews. For the realization of the design and layout, as for the startup, we used information form de contributions of studies made form intellectuals and mainly from the theories of eng. Richard Muther and eng. In the end we could conclude with an approach that guarantees the best use for the space available, the optimization of the resources and besides contributes with the improvement of the service level.

Nuestro proyecto se basa en la investigación de la mejor forma de realizar un diseño y layout aplicado a la bodega de Decorceramica ubicada en la ciudad de Barranquilla que está iniciando actividades, el reto a superar es la puesta en marcha de este Centro de Distribución. Para ello, debemos tener en cuenta que una bodega vacía inicialmente necesita ser abastecida lo más pronto posible para que empiece a ser operativa, lo que indica que es necesario prepararse para saber cómo se acomodarán las mercancías, de manera que la operación de este CEDI sea lo más productiva posible, no solo en el almacenaje, si no en los recursos que se inviertan para lograr los objetivos, siendo el más importante lograr un nivel de servicio optimo a los nuestros clientes internos, pero sobre todo a los clientes finales. El proyecto estuvo enmarcado en el tipo de investigación proyectiva, fundamentada a nivel comprensivo con un diseño de fuente mixta (documental y campo). Se emplearon una serie de técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos, específicamente el análisis de fuentes documentales, la observación directa y las entrevistas no estructuradas. Para la realización del diseño y layout, así como para la puesta en marcha utilizamos el aporte de estudios realizados por intelectuales y fundamentalmente de las teorías de los ingenieros Richard Muther y Bryan Salazar, además del aporte valioso de los datos suministrados por Decorceramica para la realización del mismo. Al final pudimos concluir con una propuesta que garantiza el mayor aprovechamiento del espacio disponible, la optimización de los recursos y contribuir además con el mejoramiento en el nivel de servicio.
