AbstractThis document presents the technical and economic evaluation of different technologies for deployment in the propulsion fluid sustainably in a treatment plant water, located in a non-interconnected zone with the national grid (areas near the river Chicagua in the municipality of Cicuco). This Rio techniques such as bathymetry measurements were taken for the purpose of profiling the runway to depths of up to 7 meters and measurements of variables with high engineering value, as in the river speeds of 0.7 m / s - 0 , 9 m / s, measured by a digital current meter Hg950 in different positions, and data of the power demanded by the system provided by the company. Everything written above represents the first stage of the project focused on the collection of the most important engineering data for this assessment. The second stage of the research was aimed at the realization of a state of the art based on the products offered by the market and the technical constraints of these technologies in relation to the equipment (hydraulic pump) involving significantly safety process. They also take into account the conditions of the river and trends in the prices of non-renewable resources in order, to generate a conceptual analysis for application due to the potential savings in an unconventional technology (Vivace) on currently used in this region. Is highlighted in research using an unconventional (Turbine Vivace) technology as the one that best fits in relation to techno-economic concept of choice, compared to the generator, because saving $ 13,549,055,546 Colombian pesos and in relation to the electrical interconnection a savings of $ 993,031,944 Colombian pesos for a projected 20-year period. Now, for the application of this technology a specific place the River Cicuco stipulated in this research, where the speed of the river reaches 1 m / s, which therefore makes this technology the best choice in this study, is chosen.
