AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to perform an energy economic model that identifies in a clear, concise and detailed manner the consumption of each component installed on the system for early detection of streams in Barranquilla alerts, providing viable alternatives for achieving greater efficiency and sustainability of itself, within these alternatives are the use of renewable sources as the main power supply, to ensure that this project is completely independent of the conventional power grid, just as a feasibility study is performed on supply this case is not possible to supply the demand required for the early warning system using renewable sources; in this way is introduced the project a study of variables that must be considered when implementing energy supply by the grid operator Electricaribe S.A. E.S.P. For the development of this project aspects such as cultural, social, environmental and economic were analyzed to determine the caused on each impact, the various energy models implemented in the world and its impact on the places that were implemented were analyzed providing through this greater vision when defining the appropriate model to implement the early warning system. Based on the need that arises in the city of Barranquilla and considering that it is a single problem in the world is almost impossible to establish an energy model that matches all the requirements for this, for that reason and taking alternatively studying various energy models which include models such as: MARKAL, LEAP, bottom up, among others, will come to the determination that the most feasible to implement the early warning system should be a hybrid model that includes the most important features of each of the models presented herein. Based on this determination born as an alternative economic model ENERGY FOR Early Warning Systems - "MEESAT". MEESAT is an energy model that not only takes into account issues such as those mentioned above but it also adds an economic analysis and an analysis of consumption by projecting demand in case the system tends to expand and should add other elements, this model does not neglect safety due on SAT when commissioning of equipment, as does a study of reliability of the system taking into account issues such as maintenance, priority for the proper functioning of the equipment, one of the main features of this model is the study carried out for each device and component that integrates the alert system, performing an energy characterization to reach a consumption estimate and thus establish the total system demand.MEESAT equally integrates the analysis of short-circuit currents, voltage levels, connection diagrams, chargeability connection points all this in order to determine the feasibility of connection to conventional power grid in case of not having with a sufficient supply of energy from renewable sources. This model integrates all the requirements and provides guidelines to develop a reliable and safe consumer research to ensure sustainability, efficiency and good electrical performance of the SAT.
