Análisis comparativo del riesgo suicida en adolescentes
Abstract
The objective of the present study was to compare the suicidal risk among adolescents with and without a history of suicidal behavior, in a sample selected incidentally consisting of 121 adolescents (92.6% women and 7.4% men) aged between 12 and 17 years. years. The methodological approach to the data is of a quantitative nature, with a non-experimental design, an investigative scope of an ex post facto type. A sociodemographic questionnaire and the Scale for the Evaluation of Suicide Risk in Adolescents - ERS were applied in both samples to analyze if there were differences between the groups, for this the student's t-test was used. The results of this study contributed to the predictive validity of the Scale for the Assessment of Suicide Risk in adolescents - ERS, since it is found that adolescents who have carried out previous suicide behaviors score higher in the suicide risk dimensions of depression-hopelessness , family dysfunction or lack of family support, self-harm-suicidal ideation and social isolation, than those without a suicidal background.
