The objective of this research project to evaluate the temporal spatial variation of ozone measurements in Barranquilla and the Metropolitan Area, during a period of 4 months (March-June 2018). The average tropospheric ozone frequencies at the five monitoring stations of Barranquilla and the Metropolitan Area were considered, as was the impact of the incidence of meteorological variables on the behavior of ozone (O3) and its spatio-temporal variation. The data were provided by the Environmental Authorities (CRA and Barranquilla Verde) and the automatic equipment used to determine the receivers operated under the ultraviolet absorption methodology. As a result, it was possible to analyze the photochemical cycle of ozone that exhibited a characteristic behavior of coastal areas, and with the help of a GIS, it is represented graphically. From the results, high concentrations of ozone were evidenced that are recorded in the midday hours where solar radiation and temperature are at their maximum values, indicating the clear influence of photochemical processes. The largest are in the stations of the northern sector of the city: Las Tres Avemarías Station and Mobile Station (Universidad del Norte) with a general average of 33 and 31 μg / m3 respectively, while in the stations of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Area (Edumas Station and CAI Hipódromo Station) the general average does not exceed 20 μg / m3. The Spearman correlation indicated that there is a direct relationship with meteorological variables such as solar radiation, temperature, wind speed, while with relative humidity there is an inversely significant correlation, which affects the formation of ozone.
