dc.description.abstractEn todos los campos de la Gerencia de Operaciones la simulación se ha convertido en herramienta vital para la toma de decisiones. En la actualidad la simulación es utilizada para diseñar, analizar y evaluar el desempeño de los sistemas de producción y prestación de servicios en puertos, aeropuertos, bancos, hospitales y centros de distribución, entre otros. Las decisiones estratégicas y tácticas que se toman diariamente en las empresas pueden ser abordadas desde la simulación, ya que permite analizar los problemas en los cuales la incertidumbre y el riesgo se conjugan de manera relevante.spa
