dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto de investigación trata sobre las prácticas de Business Intelligence (BI, Inteligencia de
Negocios) en las organizaciones. BI se define como una habilidad adquirida por las organizaciones para transformar datos en información e información en conocimiento, de modo que a través de esta práctica se optimice la toma de decisiones en el entorno empresarial. El resultado esperado del
proyecto se orienta hacia la obtención de una metodología de evaluación de las condiciones iniciales
que favorecen o desfavorecen la implementación de prácticas de BI en las organizaciones colombianas. Para tal fin, el proyecto se constituyó en dos fases. La primera fase,
realizada durante el año 2018, consistió en la realización de un exhaustivo trabajo de revisión de
literatura en el que se identificaron las dimensiones técnicas y comportamentales afines a las prácticas de BI, con resultado de un producto Q2 en proceso de publicación, un capítulo de libro y una ponencia internacional. El trabajo realizado en esta etapa se enfocó en la aplicación de metodologías cualitativas orientadas al análisis de las prácticas de BI en una organización del entorno nacional. La segunda fase, propuesta en este proyecto para el año 2019, se orientará al desarrollo de instrumentos de corte cuantitativo que permitan complementar el análisis del panorama de condiciones iniciales para la implementación de BI. Este resultado tendrá como producto central una metodología que permita realizar tareas de diagnóstico, planeación e intervención en organizaciones de cualquier tipo. El proyecto se adscribe al Departamento de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad de la Costa y a la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la Universitaria Agustiniana en Bogotá. | spa |
