Abstract
This research examines perceptions of users of the health sector regarding the social responsibility of institutions that provide this service. By applying a Likert-type scale questionnaire, and stratification of the sample into professionals and non-professionals, and in terms of male or female gender, statistically significant differences were found between the former, but not between the latter. The study highlights assessments focused on the Imaginary dimensions of social responsibility and Community. Also, the research shows that corporate social responsibility practices contribute to the well-being of all interest groups, both internal and external, which undoubtedly contributes to improving the quality of health service provision and socially responsible performance of users. Finally, it is important to develop research that involves various areas of knowledge of this variable studied and the consideration of the perception of the various interest groups for a comprehensive understanding of social responsibility as a social phenomenon.
