Objective: Estimate the arterial hypertension burden of CAJACOPI EPS affiliates during 2019. Materials and methods: A descriptive study. The Individual Health Service Provision Records (RIPS), the Social Protection Information System (SISPRO) data cubes and the Capitation Payment Unit (UPC) sufficiency files, were processed. It was analyzed the percentage distribution of cases, as well as age-adjusted rates and burden indicators: It was analyzed the percentage distribution of cases, as well as age-adjusted rates and burden indicators: Years of Life Lost due to Premature Death (AVPP), Years of Life with Disabilty (AVD) and Life Lost Years due to disability (AVISA). Results: In 2019, 8.3% of patients received corresponded to arterial hypertension. The estimated prevalence in patients over 20 years old was 12.7%. From 2012 to 2019, 876 members died due to hypertension, with age-adjusted rates per-100,000, ranging from 10.42 to 15.96. The patients of AVPP were 8791.82, AVD: 13298.49 and AVISA: 25865.24. Differences were found to each indicator by department. Conclusion: A high burden of hypertensive diseases was found in affiliates of CAJACOPI EPS; the results are comparable with official data from the ASIS. The methodological limitations are inherent to the type of study, but the results obtained are considered an important input for decision making. Objetivo: Estimar la carga de hipertensión arterial de los afiliados a CAJACOPI EPS durante 2019. Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo. Se procesaron los Registros Individuales de Prestación de servicios de salud (RIPS), los cubos de datos del Sistema de Información de la Protección Social (SISPRO) y los archivos de suficiencia de la Unidad de Pago por Capitación (UPC). Se analiza la distribución porcentual de los casos, así como las tasas ajustadas por edad e indicadores de carga: AVPP, AVD y AVISA. Resultados: En 2019, 8,3% de las atenciones recibidas correspondieron a hipertensión arterial. La prevalencia estimada en mayores de 20 años fue de 12,7%. De 2012 a 2019 fallecieron 876 afiliados por hipertensión, con tasas ajustadas por edad por 100.000, que oscilaron entre 10,42 y 15,96. EL número total de AVPP fue de 8791,82, el de AVD: 13298,49 y el de AVISA: 25865,24. Por departamentos se encontraron diferencias en los distintos indicadores. Conclusión: Se encontró una alta carga por enfermedades hipertensivas en afiliados a CAJACOPI EPS; los resultados son comparables con datos oficiales de los ASIS. Las limitaciones metodológicas son propias del tipo de estudio, pero los resultados obtenidos son un insumo importante para la toma de decisiones.
